Achim Goerres
Professor of Empirical Political Science at the University of Duisburg-EssenAchim Goerres is Professor of Empirical Political Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He is a comparative political scientist and political sociologist who works at the intersection of political behaviour and welfare state research. Goerres is particularly interested in how large-scale social changes manifest themselves in the politics of individuals. Thus, he conducts research on the politics of population ageing and the political behaviour of immigrants.
Empirically, he uses both qualitative and quantitative research with a particular focus on survey research.
