How can one use the journal review
process to improve a manuscript for publication? What are good strategies for
responding to reviewers and editors? How to choose the right journal for
the paper? And what about working with co-authors? These and other
questions will be addressed in this professional development seminar, led by
Professor David Stark. Participants in the seminar will have access to
the complete correspondence between Stark and the editors and reviewers (across
two rounds of revise and resubmit) for a manuscript that became a prize-winning
article published in the American Journal of Sociology. The
seminar is targeted to senior researchers, postdocs, and PhD students in their
second or third year.
