Elifcan Çelebi awarded 2018 Sirin Tekeli Research Encouragement Award
Elifcan Çelebi received a Sirin Tekeli Research Encouragement Award for her dissertation project on the influence of gender on the employment market in Turkey. The 1,000 euro prize was awarded in December 2018 by the Gender and Women's Studies Center of Excellence (SU Gender) at Sabanci University in Istanbul. The Sirin Tekeli Research Award was created by the SU Gender in 2017 to honor the legacy of the Turkish activist in the fields of women’s studies and gender research. Elifcan Çelebi has been a doctoral student at the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (IMPRS-SPCE) since 2017.
