Cornelia Woll appointed Hertie School President
Cornelia Woll has been appointed as the new President and Academic Director of the Hertie School in Berlin. She takes up office on March 15, 2022. A professor of International Political Economy, her prior appointment was at Sciences Po in Paris, where she also served as the elected chair of the Academic Board and was co-director of the Max Planck Sciences Po Center on Coping with Instability in Market Societies (MaxPo). Until March 2022, she also was an affiliated member of the IMPRS-SPCE faculty. In her research, the political scientist focuses on comparative and international political economy, in particular business−government relations and economic regulation in Europe and the United States. The Hertie School is a private university based in Berlin, accredited by the state and the German Science Council. It was formally founded in 2003 by the Hertie Foundation, thereby becoming the first professional school for public policy in Germany.
